Who

High school students (9th-12th grade) and youth detention center

What

The first program will be certification in Upholstery with 3 program tracks (Basic, Advance and Specialty)

1. Basic Track (6-month program): Measuring (reading ruler), graphing furniture, threading and sewing, making bobbins, making relief cuts, replacing & tying coil springs.

2. Advanced Track (12-month program): Furniture frame assembly and construction, Advance techniques (tuck and roll, buttoning), upholstery business skills, safety procedures and shop maintenance

3. Specialty Track (12-month program): Automotive upholstery including trim, convertible tops, marine upholstery, slipcovers, carpet installation, headliner replacement and vinyl tops.
