Meet the Founder: Jeffrey
Born in Tuskegee, Alabama, Jeffrey has dedicated his life to skilled trades, entrepreneurship, mentorship, and community service.
After graduating from Opelika State Technical College in 1985 with a diploma in Upholstery, Jeffrey moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1988 to pursue greater opportunities. Committed to lifelong learning, he later earned a diploma in Computer Networking and Design from DeKalb Technical College in 2002.
In 2004, Jeffrey founded JW Recovery Room, an upholstery business that continues to serve the Atlanta community today. Throughout his career, he has remained passionate about helping others through mission work, community outreach, and service projects that have included building homes, feeding the homeless, and supporting underserved communities.
For more than a decade, Jeffrey also coached youth baseball, using the sport as a platform to mentor young people and teach important life values such as discipline, accountability, teamwork, and respect. His experiences working with youth and families reinforced his belief in the power of mentorship and opportunity.
Around the age of 50, God placed a vision on Jeffrey's heart to create a trade school that would provide practical skills training while helping students build confidence, purpose, and a path to success. After years of planning and perseverance, that vision became a reality.
Today, Jeffrey is committed to empowering the next generation through education, mentorship, and hands-on training. He believes that trade education can transform lives, strengthen families, and create lasting impact within communities.
